A Pirates Life For Me #PiratesLifeEvent
Aaarrrrraaaggghhh!!!! I am so excited to announce that I am headed out to L.A. May 17th thru the 20th, along with 24 other Fantabulous bloggers to experience a Once in a Lifetime Experience. We will be walking the Red Carpet for the fifth installment of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. Okay so why is this so special? Well because we will be interviewing….wait I will tell you later, first let me share the latest Pirates Trailer.
That made you Shiver Your Timbers, didn’t it?
Johnny Depp returns to the big screen as the iconic, swashbuckling anti-hero Jack Sparrow in the all-new “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.” The rip-roaring adventure finds down-on-his-luck Captain Jack feeling the winds of ill-fortune blowing strongly his way when deadly ghost sailors, led by the terrifying Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem), escape from the Devil’s Triangle bent on killing every pirate at sea—notably Jack. Jack’s only hope of survival lies in the legendary Trident of Poseidon, but to find it he must forge an uneasy alliance with Carina Smyth (Kaya Scodelario), a brilliant and beautiful astronomer, and Henry (Brenton Thwaites), a headstrong young sailor in the Royal Navy. At the helm of the Dying Gull, his pitifully small and shabby ship, Captain Jack seeks not only to reverse his recent spate of ill fortune, but to save his very life from the most formidable and malicious foe he has ever faced.
We all know that Captain Jack Sparrow always manages to Hornswaggle his way out of danger. Oh in case you aren’t fluent in Pirate (shame on you if you are not) that means Cheat his way out of danger. But this time will he be shark bait, will he walk the plank, or will he get three sheets to the wind on Rum and be rescued by Sea Turtles that he harnesses to transport him??? Oh, wait that was how he was rescued in The Curse of the Black Pearl. While I am not sure what Jack’s fate is….here is what I am sure of. While in L.A. We will be interviewing: Javier Bardem(“Captain Salazar”), Geoffrey Rush (“Barbossa”), Brenton Thwaites (“Henry”), Kaya Scodelario(“Carina Smyth”), Directors Joachim Ronning & Espen Sandberg, and the incredible Producer Jerry Bruckheimer!!!
Yeah Matey you read that correctly we will be interviewing the legendary Jerry Bruckheimer. You can breathe now…I understand I stopped breathing too.
Adding to the fun they are letting us Seadogs and a few of the Scallywags, head over to Disneyland to ride on the Pirates of the Caribbean Ride and get a quick sneak peek of Disneyland’s Dead Men tell no Tales which is a 14-minute, 4D preview of the film with costumes and props on display located in the Sunset Showcase Theatre in Hollywood Land in Disney’s California Adventure park.
Pirates of the Caribbean is considered by many to be one of the most spectacular attractions ever created for a theme park. Now celebrating its 50th anniversary, the adventures continue in Southern California! The attraction was originally conceived as a wax museum and a walk-through exhibit. But following the success of Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress at the 1964 New York World’s Fair, Walt Disney and his team of Imagineers decided that Audio-Animatronics—Walt’s latest animation technology—was the most imaginative way to tell a rousing pirate story. On March 18, 1967, Pirates of the Caribbean opened at Disneyland Park. Thanks to the many highly detailed scenes, lavish special effects and memorable characters, the attraction earned rave reviews and has remained a beloved classic, even spawning its own blockbuster film series!
But the fun doesn’t end with our Pirate Adventure, we also get to explore our softer sides on this trip by celebrating the release of the 75th Anniversary Edition of one of the most beloved classics of all time –Bambi! In celebration of this signature collection release on Digital HD May 23rd and Blu-Ray June 6th. While celebrating the release, we will have an opportunity to interview Donald “Donnie” Dunagan (young voice of “Bambi”) and Peter Behn (young voice of “Thumper”) moderated by Disney Archivist Becky Cline. Talk about an Epic Trip!!! Oh wait, I left out something, we will be touring the Disney Archives AND Walt’s Office. Now, do you understand where all my excitement is coming from? This trip is nothing less than amazing and YOU MY MATEY can have a front row seat and experience the fun with us. How? Follow the hashtags: #PiratesLifeEvent #BambiBluray and of course check my social media OFTEN, and you can see and hear what I am seeing and experiencing. Then after the Event, be sure to head to your local theater on May 26th, to see if Jack will escape the hands of Captain Salazaar.
